After the Flames
You are a poison,
Painful, long-lasting.
I want to forget you.
Destroy what the past has created,
Light it all up in flames.
Your letters and pictures,
Ash on the ground...
Still pain; no peace
For I want to forget
Wish times had never happened.
Yet I can’t burn them =
For emotions are invincible.
They remain, long after the flames

RE: After the Flames
Damn, brings back all the hurt of a post-breakup phase. Which means you executed the poem really well. Smile
